A Question for my Readers

Dearest Readers,

Please tell me, what happens when people stop rescuing you?? I mean, when you find yourself in a mess of mainly your own making, and there's no one to ask for help anymore, no one that wants to, no one that can... What do you do then? I could use some answers. I know all the right words to say to myself: I should say, "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger," I could say, "It's time to grow up," I could say, "Pull yourself out of this," or "Stand on your own two feet." But all those words sounds as hallow to me as they must to you. Nico, we are so not in Kansas anymore...

In this moment you're describing, we can feel the most lonely we've ever felt. However, after this loneliness subsides we can allow ourselves to experience clarity. With no one to aid us and no one relying on our actions we can make decisions without prejudice. It is in this moment that we find the strength within that was suppressed by the constant rescue efforts of others. Hope this helps

I have been thinking that once I get through this simply because I have to, it will change the way I feel about myself and my life forever...Like Dumbledore said; "There are two paths you can go by, son. One of them is easy. And that is it's only reward."
This comment is incredibly well put, and incredibly helpful. That's going in my quote book!

2 things:

1. a extremely wise woman once left a quote on my refrigerator that said "that which is to give light must endure burning"....

and

as cheesy as it sounds--when youre at the bottom like that the only option is becoming what you need. take these times to treat yourself with LOVE--more love than youve ever shown ANYONE else. your relationship with yourself is going to be built on these first terrible moments alone. its ok. surprise yourself with the realization that YOU ARE HERE and LIFE IS GOOD.

you have no idea how many angels walk behind you.
